Take them to the next-level with options!

Flaky Biscuits Recipe

Basic Ingredients:

2 Cups AP Flour

2 Tbsp. Baking Powder

1 Tbsp. Granulated Sugar

1 tsp. Salt

6 Tbsp. Butter, frozen

3/4 Cups Unsweetened Milk

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut your butter into small pieces. Add all ingredients except milk. You will add your flavor options at this point as well. Mix well, coat butter in the flour and break up any large pieces. In a few minutes your butter will start to soften if it is too frozen to break up further. You want small pea sized chunks. Add milk and gently mix by hand to incorporate. Once it starts to come together, turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times until it comes together. Sprinkle with a little more flour and roll out to about 1" thick. Cut with a knife or biscuit cutter and place on a sheet tray with parchment paper. Brush with a little milk or melted butter, if desired. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

*With the flavor options below, I like to mix two flavors like lemon-thyme, chive-bacos, rosemary-pepper, jalapeno-cheese, caramelized onion-dill. This is a good guide to get you started in creating next-level biscuits. Have fun!

Optional flavor additions:

1 Tbsp. Thyme

2 Tbsp. Fresh Dill, Chopped

1 Tbsp. Dry Dill

1 Tbsp. Rosemary

1/4 Cup Chives

1/2 Lemon, zest only

1/2 tsp. Fresh Cracked Pepper

2 Jalapenos, small dice

1 Cup Shredded Cheese

2 Tbsp. Nutritional Yeast

1/2 Onion, diced caramelized

1/4 Cup Chopped Bacon, alternative
