Cocoa Puffed Rice Cereal

With cinnamon, rolled oats, nuts & seeds.

Ingredients:
3 Cups Puffed Brown Rice
2 Cups Rolled Oats
1 Cup Slivered Almonds
1/2 Cup Sunflower Seeds
1/2 Cup Pumpkin Seeds
1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
1/4 Cup Oil
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
1/4 Cup Flax Seeds
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
Makes about 2 quarts
Method:
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees and line a sheet tray with parchment paper. In a large bowl, add the puffed rice and oats. Toss with sifted cocoa powder. Next add almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and flax. In a separate bowl mix the maple syrup, molasses, coconut oil, cinnamon, vanilla and salt. Then, pour it over everything and mix well. Pour the mixture onto the sheet tray and spread out in one even layer. Bake for 40 minutes, turn halfway through and stir. Stir one last time after removing from the oven. Let cool completely before storing and enjoying!
